The Burnside is nestled beside the Burnhope burn near the small village of Edmundbyers in the North Pennines. We offer fully equipped self catering holiday chalets or bed and breakfast, set in beautiful, tranquil grounds and plenty of off street parking. The rooms in the main house offer tea/coffee, flat screen t.v's and luxurious bathroom facilities. Guests have full use of the grounds, or can relax and unwind in the comfort of the large airy sun room where breakfast is also served. The village pub is only a five minute walk away, with excellent beers and food, there is also a very good village shop and an abundance of top class restaurants locally.

Hownsgill bunkhouse, tea room and caravan park is in an ideal location for the C2C cycle route. Guests can choose to stay in the bunkhouse, a static caravan or one of the touring pitches. The bunkhouse accommodation is converted from a former milking parlour and offers 2 four bed bunk rooms, 1 two bed bunk room and 1 double bed room. Wet room, kitchen and dining facilities are also available in the bunk house. There are currently 3 static caravans available each sleeping up to 6 people. Hownsgill also run an onsite tea room offering a friendly atmosphere and good quality food at reasonable prices.
